Corvin Castle

Corvin Castle is one of the largest castles in all of Europe. Built in a Renaissance-Gothic style, the castle overlooks the small Zlašti River in Hundedoara, Romania.

During the late summer of 2019 I backpacked throughout Eastern Europe and found myself in Romania where I visited the immaculate Corvin Castle. This historic site was hands down my favorite place I visited during my whole trip. It is one of the largest castles in Europe, as it was built in 1446 and figures in a list of the Seven Wonders of Romania. Many say that Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here during his exile.

Please take a look through my photo gallery of the many rooms built within the castle!
